I must admit that the first time I heard of this fic I thought I was going to have to go back to 5th grade and learn about Abraham Lincoln again to read it. But I couldn't have been further from the truth. Don't let the Name of this Fic fool you - It is current, compelling and extremely powerful. This story has had only one little mini lemon so far and we are on Chapter 34 - normally I would say that if you're looking for smut keep looking - but this story has potential for MEGA LEMONS in the future. The chapters of this fic are long - the kind where you might need to stop reading and take a break and come back. This author is extremely intelligent and talented. She weaves a story that sucks you in and leaves you wanting MORE. When I finish reading an update, I can't just go on with my day - I keep on thinking of it - I can't explain it. If you are looking for an extremely well written story that will hold your attention, without the need for copious smut, and bring you hours of enjoyment with a little angst- this is your fic. I must warn you - there are some very dark situations in this story. Some that are so painful you can almost feel it - Bella is so precious and Edward, well, what can I say? This Edward is edgy. He has quite the vocabulary (the 'F' bomb is dropped A LOT). He's intelligent, gritty, protective and absolutely beautiful. Emancipation Proclamation is keeping me hanging on the edge of my seat wondering WHAT is going to happen and HOW it will all work out. I can't imagine the author leaving us without a HEA (Happily Ever After) - but I can definitely see how it is going to take a lot of work to get us there. Trust me on this one folks, this story is well worth your time!

  2. I love this fanfic... Love the arrogant Edward and such a sheltered Bella. They're practically bi-polar.. but somehow, they're together.. Plus there's something more to the whole slavery.. I believe that's how Esme got killed. She knew about something that she shouldn't. The author always know how to keep the story interesting. Such a well-written one. In addition, you learn some new Italian words.. It's a lovely story that shouldn't be missed by any Twilight fanfic reader.

  6. I just got through finishing this story (I'm assuming it's finished). I did nothing for days on end but read this. It's left me swimming in every emotion possible thinking about the "what ifs" and knowing that it couldn't have ended any other way. I'm only assuming it's ended though and can see (and imagine) all the possibilities how this story could continue. You are a marvelous writer and have done a fantastic job with this story. Your attention to detail and consistency really make you feel the characters are real. I'm so sad that I've gotten through all 72 chapters. I still have outtakes and such but... I hope that you do continue the story. I'd love to see how things go from here. Thanks for all your efforts.

  11. How can you finish reading the story now that you need to be invited to it? I just read chapter 76 and when I went to get back onto it the site wanted me to login...confused...Is there somewhere else it can be read where everyone is able to access it? Please reply back if possible. Thanks. :(

  12. hi !!!! im a great fan of yours n ur story ...im so addicted to it in a way that i was not for the actual twilight series ...
    its an awesome piece of literature and i had bookmarked the page n kept looking for updates every single day... but now im not able to since i need an invite ...so pls plssssss pls send me one ....
    and pls do hurry up n update more often ...cant wait too long for the story to unfold :(

  14. HEY Y'ALL IT'S SSHERRILL115!! I just wanted to let you know that the Blog for this story is DOWN for a couple of days. Khar promises that she is going to complete the story and this is just them making some "improvements" to the perfection.   17. Amie I am sooo with you. I had just read chapter 76 and sometimes I like to re-read the chapters so I went back to it and that message popped up saying you needed the invite. I tried everything and searched everywhere I could think of to try to get it back. I would hope after reading all 76 chapters that I will be able to read the last four that will complete the story. It is a thrilling tale. :)
