The Hot Corner by D Pattinson and LZTZ

Let's see how the girls describe this fic: Bella and Emmett are the owners of a MLB Team. Edward Masen is a free agent 3rd baseman looking for a new start. Bella and Edward have a hidden messy past. Can they work out their differences on and off the field? AH collab. between D Pattinson & LZTZ

Ok, so anyone who knows me, knows that I have just 2 weaknesses #1 Robert Pattinson (just let me sigh) and #2 Baseball players (yum). So what in the whole world could be HOTTER than Edward Masen as a Baseball player. I guess you could say all my dreams have come true. After reading The Hot Corner, I actually wish that Twilight had been written about Baseball players instead of Vampires. Even though Vampires are pretty hot too.

The girls (as I would like to affectionately call them) are truly AWESOME Writers. The story is a collaboration between D Pattinson and LZTZ and it starts out as Bella reminisces over her high school days and her CRUSH on the 3rd baseman Edward Masen from her High School team. Fast forward, Bella owns the Chicago Cubs with her cousin Emmett and they need a 3rd baseman. Edward Masen is now a professional baseball player who plays 3rd for another team. What's a girl to do. Then you find out that Bella and Edward had a little more of a relationship than your originally thought...Do you think I will tell you what that is? NOT! You will just have to read the story and find out.

The Hot Corner is beautifully written and engaging. You will enjoy it from the moment it starts to the time that you are cussing because you have to wait for an update. No - much to my chagrin, this is not a complete fic. But, I am thinking that the girls are working hard and they are going to update as regularly as possible. I follow these two on Twitter and they are really sweet and funny (both of them). I suggest you read this one, so me and you can talk about it.     Bella is a sports writer. Edward works for the baseball team she covers on her sports beat, she's even more clumsy than normal.


    My one of my fav's atm is
    "The Woods are Lovely, Dark, and Deep" by "bananapancakes7"
    Bella visits a quiet lodge in Forks and she meets the secretive, tormented Edward Masen. Just as their relationship transcends friendship, Edward’s past comes back to haunt him in the most brutal way. It may sound pretty generic by it is so beautifully written, it's almost like reading poetry & you really feel all of the emotions of these two.

    Bella has been holding out for a hero all her life. But when she finally finds him in a pair of "freaky yellow eyes," she realizes she's destined to be only his sidekick. And the hero never falls for the sidekick. This is a dark comedy, Bella's internal dialogue keeps you grinning even through the darker bits.

    Bella and Edward and neighbors and she moves in and hears him having sex with a different girl everynight, and keeping her awake, so she goes over there to confront him...and sparks start to fly.

  7. Edward in a baseball uniform is pretty much enough to send me over the edge. When I think about all the 'roles' Edward has been placed into, I think baseball player does me in the most. So I've read all the posted chapters and I am handsdown an Edward sympathiser. I am not going to give away any more details than that.

    Since I've read it all so far, I don't want to give anything away. You just need to go and read it.

    It's wicked fun to try and guess which of the two girls write what.

    The use of fashion in this fic puts my Vogue subscription to shame.

    I love Alice in this fic also. I need to get me an Alice checklist. And Edward...Hugo Boss. That is all.
