Landscapes by lambcullen

Landscapes by lambcullen

This is how lambcullen describes her fic: The Diary. An elite artists retreat, owned by the Cullen Foundation. Edward Cullen wants Bella Swan to attend, but is it for more than her art? AH/AU/ canon couples,eventually- there is a slight diversion.

Can I just start by saying that I LOVE THIS STORY!! Ok, now that I have that off my chest - on with the review. If you like your Edward a little Assholy and your Bella a little clueless until she realizes what's going on. This is a good one for you. Edward in this story is Demanding, Authoritative and Full of Himself. I like it! Bella is a "starving artist" that is waiting tables. She's in a relationship that is going nowhere and she is just basically bumping along in life headed for disaster. In walks Edward, and if she thought her life was bad - well you know that saying - It's going to get worse before it gets better....

Edward owns this artist retreat called "The Diary"(cool name). After Bella's work is submitted to them without her knowledge, he wants her to come to The Diary for 6 months to learn and hone her skills. When the 6 moths is up, The Diary will help showcase her work. After Edward sees the lovely Isabella, he realizes that he doesn't just want her to come to The Diary - he Demands it. Well, Bella is having none of that - but she can't deny the opportunity is one that she can't afford to pass up. What's a girl to do....

Lambcullen has a writing style that is just Easy. That's the best way to describe it. Landscapes was referred to me by my good tweeter friend and author snshyne. Once I started reading it, I couldn't stop. I read the whole thing through in about 2 days. The story just flows and when you sit down to read you are finished before you know it. And you are wanting MORE! I thought that maybe it was just an awesome story - so I decided to give another one of her stories a try. I wanted to see if it was her actual writing that was so compelling. I was blown away when I realized that the next story I read by lambcullen flowed just as easy Landscapes. You just get LOST in her stories.

Tides is the other story I have read by lambcullen and I must tell you that I am hopelessly addicted to it and I wait on pins and needles for the next update. It is THAT good! I don't want to take anything away from Landscapes, so I will review Tides another time. But if you get finished with Landscapes and want to read another - read Tides!!!

I hope that you will give lambcullen a try - I am sure that you will find her writing as enjoyable as I did. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

Hey Sandy! So I always see your spam on twitter and check out your review recs because I'm a fic hoor like that. Normally I don't comment because blogging scared me. Ya I know weird thing to be wary of but hey, I'm getting there. At least you've finally drawn me out of my hiding place. Just remember, I'm totally new to this whole blogging concept though so hopefully I've gotten this thing figured out and I'm actually leaving a comment rather than talking to myself (like that never happens).

Ne who um ya. Just wanted to say how much I love lambie and her stories as well. Your review is wonderful. I love how you reveal enough about a story to draw a new reader in. But you also take the time to comment on the author as a writer and not just their story. You're 100% correct with how you describe her writing style.

I'm glad you're putting the word out there for Lambie's fics. They are stories that deserve to be read. Also might I suggest you check out another stories of hers "Wreckage" That’s the first story of hers that I read and made me fall in love with her as an author. If you liked Tides and Landscapes I'm sure that you will enjoy that one as well.

Damn I think I've gotten long winded again. Shocker... What can I say, if I'm going to take the time to comment it's going to be worthwhile. Hope you don’t mind!

Lambcullen is just THAT good! I devoured Landscapes. I don't want it to end. I'll probably cry. Assward is so hot. And I can actually stand Bella- she gives almost as good as she gets. As for Tides, *swoon* Erectionward gives me tingles & makes me smile. He's so smooth & confident. And Bella is endearing- shock! *gasp*. Lambcullen has a lot of stories & each one is different. Each one stands out for itself. And Lambcullen herself is fuckawesome, approachable & gracious.

Loved the review! Especially about Assward! 'Demanding, authoritative, & full of
himself.' But you know how I feel about him. And I agree, her writing is 'easy.' Thanks for the mention that I rec'd Landscapes to you. I can't take credit. It's just THAT good!!

Great new look on the blog. And holyhell, I spelled "write" wrong on my first review. Seriously humiliating. ahwell.
One more thought, I love the pic you have of Edward bringing his sleeping bag over to my house for the sleepover we had a while back. He was so hot there! We had a great time! LOL
