Ok the first thing I can tell you about this story is that the description the author gives you does not begin to explain the complexity of this story. This story deals with some very real psychological problems and some very real situations faced by young people today. Even though I would say that the Edward character in High Anxiety is faced with an unrealistically intense legal problem, the way in which the author creates this character and the way he deals with this problem is heartbreakingly realistic. This Edward is faced with not only panic disorder, but legal disorder. You want me to tell you what that is? Tough - you know the drill, you have to read the story to find out.

Not only is Edward faced with some tough psychological issues, so is his intense love interest Bella. She also faces panic disorder and a very dark teenage prank that basically ruins the life that she knows and loves. To top it all off, they are trying to maneuver their lives in the difficult world of High School. You put these two completely messed up young people together and what do you think you will get? An fascinating tale that is excellently written and extremely compelling. I think that High Anxiety is right up there with the best fan fictions out there today.

EdwardsBloodType is a very well known author in the Fan Fiction world, she is also known for her immensely popular "I'll be your Lover too", and even though I have enjoyed reading that one, I think High Anxiety is her shining star.

Ok - Everyone who reads my blog knows that I like my Edward a little on the "Forceful" side. Well The Edward Masen in this fic fits the bill. In fact, after reading the prologue, I wasn't sure I was going to like him at all. He is not only forceful, he's a complete jerk. But I THINK that's why I like this story so much. It's hard to believe that sweet virginal Bella could stomach this monster.

This story plays out like a mystery. I still haven't completely figured everything out about their past. Bella is much younger than the Professor, and is best friends with Alice (Edward's sister). I know there was a past - but I'm not sure to what extent the past goes. Am I being vague enough for you? Well, you'll just have to read the story and find out what I'm talking about.

There is one character in this story that I really like and that is Peter. He is Bella's friend / potential love interest. Normally I don't like anyone else with Bella. But this Peter is sweet and patient and basically everything that Edward is not. So I wonder who she will end up with???

SebastienRobichaud is an excellent story teller. The Universtiy of Edward Masen is a compelling story that is interresting and leaves you wanting more after every update. There are only 9 chapters written so you will have the opportunity to sink your teeth in before waiting for updates, and yet still won't feel like you are being left behind. I suggest you give The University of Edward Masen a read - you will be glad you did.

Sometimes you've had a rough week and you just need something light to give your spirits a pick me up. That's why I have decided to highlight a couple of stories (and a blog) that have lifted my spirits recently. These are not the serious angsty fics. These are the light hearted ones that make you feel better once you've read them.

One of my Favorite Fan Fiction Stories is TNGUS - The Naked Guy Upstairs by AngryBadgerGirl. I know that I have reviewed it before right here on Southern Fan Fiction Review but it is so good and so worth your time to read. It is also FUNNY so I am mentioning it first.

AngryBadgerGirl is SO into her funny that she has started a new blog called Chokin' the Rubber Chicken http://www.chokintherubberchicken.blogspot.com/?zx=121a9636b7069e1c on her blog she likes to review funny fan fictions. I found this blog to be refreshing and very informative. In fact, I liked it so much I read on of the stories she reviewed.

This story is genuinely funny without being silly. The author is able to make you feel the anxiety Edward feels right before he snatches Bella's purse. It has some real funny knee slappin' moments. The author has not updated it in a while, I am hoping with a few extra readers she might continue it. It is worth your time to get a giggle weather she completes it or not. Where she has stopped is an easy ending if she decides not to complete it.

Another funny one I have recently been requested to read is: Attention WalMart Shoppers by sillybella. Let's see how sillybella describes her fic: Edward has decided Bella needs protection. What kind of protection? The kind you can buy at Walmart. In the pharmacy.

Ok, well, I don't know about you - but I shop at WalMart, and it wouldn't be entirely strange to find me in WalMart at 2am, especially during Christmas Season. So I can just imagine what it would be like to be shoppin' for cosmetics and look over to where the condoms are kept and none other than Edward Cullen himself is looking at condoms. LOL! I wouldn't be able to resist - I would be forced to go see if I could help him out. What would you do...?

Can I just start by saying that I LOVE THIS STORY!! Ok, now that I have that off my chest - on with the review. If you like your Edward a little Assholy and your Bella a little clueless until she realizes what's going on. This is a good one for you. Edward in this story is Demanding, Authoritative and Full of Himself. I like it! Bella is a "starving artist" that is waiting tables. She's in a relationship that is going nowhere and she is just basically bumping along in life headed for disaster. In walks Edward, and if she thought her life was bad - well you know that saying - It's going to get worse before it gets better....

Edward owns this artist retreat called "The Diary"(cool name). After Bella's work is submitted to them without her knowledge, he wants her to come to The Diary for 6 months to learn and hone her skills. When the 6 moths is up, The Diary will help showcase her work. After Edward sees the lovely Isabella, he realizes that he doesn't just want her to come to The Diary - he Demands it. Well, Bella is having none of that - but she can't deny the opportunity is one that she can't afford to pass up. What's a girl to do....

Lambcullen has a writing style that is just Easy. That's the best way to describe it. Landscapes was referred to me by my good tweeter friend and author snshyne. Once I started reading it, I couldn't stop. I read the whole thing through in about 2 days. The story just flows and when you sit down to read you are finished before you know it. And you are wanting MORE! I thought that maybe it was just an awesome story - so I decided to give another one of her stories a try. I wanted to see if it was her actual writing that was so compelling. I was blown away when I realized that the next story I read by lambcullen flowed just as easy Landscapes. You just get LOST in her stories.

Tides is the other story I have read by lambcullen and I must tell you that I am hopelessly addicted to it and I wait on pins and needles for the next update. It is THAT good! I don't want to take anything away from Landscapes, so I will review Tides another time. But if you get finished with Landscapes and want to read another - read Tides!!!

This is one of the best stories I have ever read. And you are lucky, because it is almost over so you will be reading a complete fic by the time you get to the end. Those of you who like to wait for updates will be a little disappointed, but DO NOT let that stop you from reading the fic - because you will be sorry if you do.

MAN - how to I review this without telling you the whole story? In this story Bella is a little stalkery and Edward is a little pitiful. Edward, Jasper and Emmett are "The Lost Boys" they are a band. And Edward (of course) is the most talented person on the face of the planet. But he's had some problems and he has searched his whole life for his muse - Guess who that Muse is! I'm Not tellin'! Anyho, The Lost Boys end up renting a place in San Francisco for a little down time. The house has basically 2 apartments (3 bed rooms each). And who do you think move upstairs from the relaxing musicians? Bella, Rosalie and Alice of course. Well, this situation alone would make this story worth reading. But wait there is more!!! In this house there are a couple of ghosts. The female ghost can only communicate with Bella and (you guessed it) the male ghost can only communicate with Edward and the ghosts have a story to tell.

You follow these eventual couples as they try to solve the mystery of Nick and Nora and why they are not resting in peace. This is more than a ghost/love story. You will find yourself thinking of this story during your quiet times. It is so compelling, you can't help yourself but to love it. And I didn't even mention the band of hippie/psychics that help these two talk to their companions from another world - OR the fact that Bella is being stalked by a psychotic madman. With all that in this story I know it makes you WANT to read it. Hwimsey is extremely talented and in The Lost Boys she weaves a sophisticated web of intrigue and passion. I highly recommend you read this one and enjoy your All Hallow's Eve.

Ok, so anyone who knows me, knows that I have just 2 weaknesses #1 Robert Pattinson (just let me sigh) and #2 Baseball players (yum). So what in the whole world could be HOTTER than Edward Masen as a Baseball player. I guess you could say all my dreams have come true. After reading The Hot Corner, I actually wish that Twilight had been written about Baseball players instead of Vampires. Even though Vampires are pretty hot too.

The girls (as I would like to affectionately call them) are truly AWESOME Writers. The story is a collaboration between D Pattinson and LZTZ and it starts out as Bella reminisces over her high school days and her CRUSH on the 3rd baseman Edward Masen from her High School team. Fast forward, Bella owns the Chicago Cubs with her cousin Emmett and they need a 3rd baseman. Edward Masen is now a professional baseball player who plays 3rd for another team. What's a girl to do. Then you find out that Bella and Edward had a little more of a relationship than your originally thought...Do you think I will tell you what that is? NOT! You will just have to read the story and find out.

The Hot Corner is beautifully written and engaging. You will enjoy it from the moment it starts to the time that you are cussing because you have to wait for an update. No - much to my chagrin, this is not a complete fic. But, I am thinking that the girls are working hard and they are going to update as regularly as possible. I follow these two on Twitter and they are really sweet and funny (both of them). I suggest you read this one, so me and you can talk about it. In most stories I read I hate Mike Newton. That's really funny because in the movie I really liked Mike Newton and in the actual Saga I didn't think he was that bad. More like a little annoying nat, but not scary or mean. In this story you will REALLY HATE Mike Newton. He takes on the role that I usually see James play. He is unreasonably mean and scary. This story is rated M due to the graphic nature of Mike's relationship with Bella. There is a rape scene and if you have ever experienced that, or had someone close to you experience it, you understand the confusion associated with a rape - especially from someone you love. I think snshyne describes that scene tastefully and she explains the confusion that Bella feels beautifully.

In Fate & Forgotten Secrets Bella is so broken. I just don't think she can go through much more. Her story starts out bad and gets worse. I can only see 2 bright spots for her 1) her relationship with Alice. I love the way this author creates the relationship between Bella and Alice. Alice is one of my FAVORITE characters and I really like the strong bond that snshyne has protreyed. and 2) Edward. Now, you know I love me some Edward - I know he is a bright spot for Bella in this story, but Edward seems a little spoiled to me. I am interested to see how he handles things that don't go his way all the time.

This story is compelling, I am really anxious to see what will happen next. It is a long fic - 17 chapters so far and I don't see her slowing down anytime soon. Anytime a new author puts their work out there it is scary for them. I applaud snshyne for having the guts it takes to write a successful story. I follow snshyne on Twitter and she is such a real person to me, I am proud to call her friend. I think you should give her a read and see what you think.

It's the usual ABG yuks and lemons. Manwhoreward v. Straightlacedella. Love/Hate/Love/Banter/Sex. RATED M COS WHY ELSE DO YOU READ FIC, HONESTLY? AH, CANON PAIRINGS

Let me just ask you this... Have you ever seen your neighbor naked? Does your neighbor look like Edward Cullen? Do you see where this is going... Well, my answer is 'No' to both of these questions. But if my neighbor DID look like Edward Cullen, maybe I would try a little harder to see him naked every chance I got. I wonder how virginal Bella would handle this situation?

This story is extremely hilarious and very well written. It is new, only 7 chapters published so far. But I have found that the updates have been steady. In the story Bella refers to Edward as TNGUS - (The Naked Guy Up Stairs). I ask everyone - "Are you reading TNGUS?" They immediately want to know WTF I am talking about. Well, now you know. I strongly urge you to give TNGUS a read. I think you will be glad you did. It is light hearted and very enjoyable. The story is described as Humor/Romance, so I don't expect to experience any major angst.

AngryBadgerGirl is an experienced author - so much so she was another author in a former life. If you liked McVampy - Author of Apples and Oranges and Frenemies, you will LOVE AngryBadgerGirl - because it's the same person.

Can I just say OH MY GOD! KiltWard is my new Favorite Edward! Ok - I know I say that a lot (this is my new favorite Edward) but KiltWard - OH SWOON! If you like strong men with tattoos and a dirty mouth - you have GOT to read The Rain Season. I was referred to this fic by one of my readers, Prassacut - THANK YOU!!! I was intrigued by the KiltWard concept. As you can tell from my profile - I'm a red head - aren't we all from Scottland..LOL! So I wanted to give it a try. This fic sucked me in big time. Bella in this story is just so broken it makes you sad. There were a couple times that I thought - "what can happen to her next?" but Edward is there most of the time to make everything better.

Elusivetwilight only has 2 stories published and one of them is in French - so I'm thinking that maybe it's only one story because I can't read French. So that makes this fic even more impressive. With only one story she is able to write lemons like a professional! This story is as Hot as what's under Edward's Kilt - by the way - do you KNOW what's under Edward's kilt? Think you have a pretty good idea....well, I'm not tellin' you will just have to read this one and find out. This is an AWESOME story. I couldn't stop reading it. I am really looking forward to the next update. I KNOW - I said no more incomplete stories...but this one is just too good to pass up. Read It!
