The Misapprehension of Bella Swan by HunterHuntingLet's see how Hunterhunting describes this story shall we? The Misapprehension of Bella Swan Regarding the Inferior Intellect of Hockey Players: Through incessant stalking and persistence, can Edward wear down Bella's resistance and teach her to embrace her inner puck bunny? A ridiculous love story. AH/OCCTwilight - Rated: M - English - Romance/Humor - Chapters: 5 - Words: 34,025 - Reviews: 3991 - Updated: 2-28-10 - Published: 2-3-10 - Bella & Edward
Have you ever known an author that you would read no matter what they wrote? Have you ever known an author that writes a story that you love so much that you start to feel like that author is a friend and not someone who just writes a story you read? Well, if you do, that is how I feel about Hunterhunting. I don't know Hunter, I don't really chat with her, she doesn't really follow me on twitter, I have talked to her a few times via the Twilighted thread - but everything that she writes seems so personal to me that I feel like she is this good friend of mine. Maybe that makes me crazy, but that's how I feel. I love Hunterhunting so much, her story Clipped Wings and Inked Armor was the very FIRST story I ever reviewed on Southern Fan Fiction Review. Here is the link to the review: http://www.southernfanfictionreview.com/2009/08/clipped-wings-and-inked-armor.html (You really should go read this and see how far SFFR has come, I didn't even USE a picture) If you haven't read CW&IA then you are really missing out. That story is so gripping and awesome. Hunter has this ability to speak directly to that place inside of all of us (girls) that love our man. CW&IA made me laugh, cry, sit on the edge of my seat, and it was the reason for many friendships I made over Twitter and the Twilighted Threads so trust me - move it up on your list if you haven't given it a try.
Now on to The Misapprehension of Bella Swan. MOBS is NOTHING like CW&IA. Well, I guess it's SOMETHING like it...it has the same author. So this story has the same draw (or pull) as CW. When I see the update hit my e-mail I'm like **clapping** Oh Goodie Goodie Goodie! MOBS is full of something that I am known for loving, can you guess what that is? LEMONS!!! Yea for the story with the Lemons! And they are not just lemons...they are lemons written by Hunterhunting who must have some of the best sex of any one human woman on the face of the planet, because she KNOWS how to write a lemon. MOBS is light and funny. It is an excellent change of pace from most of the angsty fics I have been reading lately. Now, that's not to say that this story isn't a good story! There is plot and intrigue and suspense because Hunter wouldn't let us read just plain old SMUT!
Edward is a Hockey Player for the Chicago Blackhawks. He is like a star player - and you must admit, thinking of Edward as a Hockey Player is HOT. But Edward is not just a hockey player; Edward is a smart hockey player. He just doesn't want anyone to KNOW that he is smart. He is happy letting everyone think that he is a Hockey Stud - even though he isn't really. Bella is the sister of one of Edward's team mates Emmett. Emmett IS a Hockey Stud and he doesn't want Edward anywhere near his intelligent, beautiful, awkward sister Bella. Emmett will KILL Edward when he finds out..... But Bella isn't scared of Emmett. Bella has a mind of her own and she knows what she likes when she sees it!
I hope that you will give Hunterhunting a chance. I think you will find her stories as enjoyable as I have. She is a sweet sincere person that I am proud to call "my friend" - even though she doesn't REALLY know me - LOL!!
